Ganiat Jaiyesinmi Ajayi, MD, is the President and Medical Director, Hope & Faith Wellness Clinic, Inc.

Ganiat Jaiyesinmi Ajayi, MD popularly known as Dr J is the President and Medical Director, Hope & Faith Wellness Clinic, Inc.- an exclusively telemedicine, private practice she started in 2014.

Dr J obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, Georgia in 1991 and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee in 1996 graduating with honors. Her internship in Psychiatry was completed at Washington University in St Louis, Missouri and her Residency in Psychiatry at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.

She was appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatric & Behavioral Science, Emory University School of Medicine and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine gave her a position as the Clinical Psychiatric Attending. She was the Medical Director for the Intensive Day Treatment Program at the Dekalb Crisis Center.

In 2003, she started Intervention One and was appointed Clinical Director for the program. Over the past twenty years, Dr. J has held multiple administrative positions from the Public Sector to the Private Sector.

Dr. J has extensive training and experience in Psychiatric-Obstetrics, Substance Use Disorder, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry. The combination of these earned her awards and recognition including Certificate of Appreciation from Department of Veterans Affairs, Certificate of Recognition from American Academy of Neurology Education & Research Foundation, The Rafael Hernandez MD, Award for Excellence in Psychiatry and many more.

Dr. J is an advocate for Abuse Victims and Trauma Survivors. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, crocheting, yoga and meditation. She volunteers in mentoring programs, educating young people and is active in several charitable organizations.
